System complexity demands diversified modeling: to secure time-to-market as well as reliability of products, it is now mandatory to simulate not only the electronic parts of the SoC, but also the associated mechanical parts (sensors, actuators...), while flat simulation of a whole SoC fulfills a different purpose. Effective insertion of the ViC into its SoC or of the SoC into its PCB system requires performing the simulation of a complete sub-function, all inclusive, whether its parts are mechanical or electronic.
