DOLPHIN Lithography   The Dolphin group has established the tradition of asking a local artist to help celebrate anniversaries with the creation of an appropriate lithography in limited series. As for the year of the Pig in the Chinese calendar, it luckily corresponds to its maritime counter-part as the Dolphin in Chinese is the "Pig of the Sea", while the UNESCO has set the year 2007 precisely as the year of the Dolphin. It is a great opportunity to celebrate our twenty-second birthday and to remind why our company bears this name of DOLPHIN Integration: this comes from our city of Grenoble in France as the head of the province of the Dolphin, because a prince Humbolt of Grenoble in the twelth century had married a gracious heir of Cornwalls, soon after the conquest of England, and she contributed three dolphins on her half of the family's coat of arms. That year of the Rooster in the Chinese calendar marked the twentieth anniversary of uncovering silicon innovations in the French province of the Dolphin. As the Chinese mythology underpins its calendar rhythm, the symbol of the Rooster for this year 2005 is worth our pondering on its archetypal message: this one is mysterious as it is associated with solar or divine forces in some civilisations, while it is associated with scary or diabolic forces under other longitudes… The Rooster actually intimately symbolises the heavy contradictions of life opposites, which require our individual maturation for dealing with them: our spiritual awakening then is experienced as an enlightenment, much as provided by the sunrise precisely announced by the Rooster. The Rooster appears as the best promoter towards the reconciliation of opposites, the best symbol therefore of wise management.   In honor of its fifteenth anniversary as well as its early success in Asia, the DOLPHIN Group had a local artist help celebrate with the lithography in limited series reproduced here. Anyone with an inkling for depth psychology can recognize the dragon as the mythical power of our unconscious, while the dolphin represents the best of our conscious intelligence: mind you, unlike the European dragon, the Asian dragon is quite sympathetic, so their supportive composition represents the whole of the Self positively.
